Our Red Palm Oil is 100% organic and sustainable. It comes from a small sustainable family farm in West Africa and not from a large corporate plantation.

It comes in wide mouth jars to make it easier to scoop out.

Our red palm oil contains no additional ingredients or preservatives. It provides a number of essential fatty acids including omega 3 and omega 6. Palm oil helps bring out the best in full feathers and improves dry flaky skin. Parrots should have palm oil a 2-3 times per week, macaws need this more often.

Palm oil is a soft solid at room temperature, warm it up and it turns into liquid depending on how you are using it.

The red color comes from the natural presence of betacarotene and lycopene, which gives carrots and tomatoes their distinctive red and orange colors. Once digested, the body converts these to vitamin A. The equivalent amount of organic red palm oil offers 15 times the betacarotene of a carrot. As such, one teaspoon of the extra red palm oil supplies a parrot with the daily recommended allowance of vitamin A.

A must have

I always have RPO on hand, it is great for cooking, mixing into chop, breads, other treats and as a coating on pellets. For Parrots native to Africa it can be super helpful to add in what they would have access to in the wild. Excellent quality stuff, and it's important to me that it is not sourced from poor environmental practices
