A little unwieldly

I will specify that I bought this for my rats, not parrots. The "toy" portion is 6" long, and hangs from a 6" metal chain which comes with a "quick link" for hanging. The wood and cardboard are held together by some twists of paper rope which run the vertical length of the piece. All part of the toy (except the chain) are fun to chew on. The holes cut in the cardboard are 0.5" by 0.75". This is a good size for substantial treats, such as peanuts, whole pistachios, and certain berries. However, most seed treats (e.g. sunflower seeds), cheerios, and lab-block style kibbles will not stay firmly in the toy and are displaced by a quick shake. So while it's an interesting way to present treats, it's not for dispensing regular food. My boys still enjoy it as a chew toy though ;)
