Give your birds an amazing foraging blend with completely safe and edible whole food items that scream summer! Each bag may include a combination of fruits with seeds and nuts like palm nuts and palm flower stalks, green banana and plantain, green mango and green papaya, peppers, summer squash, coconut meat and husk, edible flowers like nasturtium and butterfly pea flowers, as well as ground forage like jicama root, all freeze-dried to maximize the nutrients within. We feed our birds all of these same items so know how much they enjoy them!

This blend can be offered as part of the dry food meal you provide your bird each day. These items can also be used in foraging devices.
Here are some benefits of the featured items we include in this blend:
Palm fruits/nuts: The fleshy outer husk is rich in beta-carotenes that support Vitamin A production in the body. Palm fruits/nuts also contain healthy fats, vitamins and minerals. These are also consumed by a wide range of parrots so provide a naturalistic foraging experience.
Green banana: A fantastic source of pre-biotic fiber, unripe banana is a great for digestive system health. It’s also a great source of vitamins like B6 and minerals like potassium.
Green mango: Unripe mango has been reported to support liver health and is a source of Vitamins A, C, and E.
Green papaya: Green papaya is unripe and aids digestion, partly because of the digestive enzymes found within. It also is higher in fiber and lower in sugar.
Jicama root: Native to Mexico, this is sometimes called Mexican turnip. Jicama is rich in fiber, vitamin C, magnesium, potassium and Vitamin B6. It’s also a source of protein while low in fat.
Peppers: Rich in vitamin C and beta carotenes among other vitamins and minerals.
Coconut: Valuable source of fiber and healthy fats as well as other minerals.
